Current Positions

Digital Press Operator

We are seeking a creative self-starter, with excellent visual communication skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic and a desire to succeed at new challenges. This role demands a keen business sense as well as creative flair and the ability to wear multiple hats. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3years of experience in a pre-press print production role.

We are a family run printing company in the Port Perry area. We service companies, large and small, with a focus on quality print solutions to elevate their marketing plans. We have an exciting new opportunity for a creative self-starter to join our team. You enjoy working with your hands and producing quality print materials. Each day is a little different from the one before, and there is the opportunity for growth within the company. What You’ll be Doing:

  • Print production and finishing work (printing, cutting, mounting, folding, perforating, packaging, binding, gluing, etc) using a digital press and finishing equipment (cutter, perforator, scoring machine, binding machines, etc)
  • Ensure all files are print-ready and accurate prior to printing. Ensure correct material is used for each job per work order
  • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Greet clients, manage phone calls and emails with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Invoicing jobs and maintaining accurate records for each docket
  • Ordering supplies, maintaining appropriate inventory levels of materials.

What Skills Are Needed:

  • 3+ years experience in pre-press production
  • Experience working with RIP software (Fiery preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills to help meet customer challenges
  • Strong attention to detail
